Craft Forestry Ltd. is a mid-sized professional forestry consulting firm headquartered in Kamloops, British Columbia, offering exceptional technical, professional, and geospatial services to the BC forest sector. While our work is centred around Kamloops and the southern interior, we have deep roots in working on the south coast, the Fraser Valley, the Kootenays, and beyond. In business for over 30 years, we are enthusiastic about helping our clients responsibly steward our shared forest resources.

The Craft Name

Craft is at the heart of what we do, how we do it, and why we exist as a business. To ensure this is apparent we put craft in our name.

Rebrand

In March of 2024 we launched our rebrand, shifting from Atlas Information Management to Craft Forestry Ltd.

Our Past

In the thirty-plus years since it was founded by Neil Martin and John Childerley, Atlas Information Management has successfully provided services to the everchanging forest industry. Over time our breadth of services has expanded from digital mapping to today’s full-scope professional forestry offerings. Likewise, our company has continually evolved to align with industry opportunities and to serve the needs of our clients. Knowing the industry, anticipating change, and making strategic decisions have allowed us to thrive to date and these skills will continue to drive our future successes.

Our Future

Today we are pleased to announce the next step on our journey as a company. Going forward, Atlas Information Management will now be known as Craft Forestry Ltd. Additionally, current senior staff members Richard Cane and Rob Kitamura are joining Neil and John as owners of the company.

Our Brand

Craft Forestry is not just a name change. The name change captures our commitment to the best we have to offer as a company, allowing us to better connect with our employees, our clients, and the forests we all seek to uphold. We believe in using forestry for good, and that practicing forestry is a craft. Each unique forest and client deserves a crafted approach and results, not some average solution. We want to do business with people who identify with our purpose, and this is it.

Our Leadership

As we rebrand and grow as Craft Forestry, leadership will play a critical role in ensuring our vision is realized. With Rob and Richard joining John and Neil as owners of the company, we will leverage each person’s unique knowledge and skill to our collective success. Our ability to collaborate as a highly effective and integrated executive team starts by broadly delineating our roles in running the company: John as Chief Forester, Neil as Chief Financial Officer, Rob as Chief Operating Officer, and Richard as Chief Executive Officer.
